International Year of Quantum Global Event – 03 November 2025

As part of the UN’s International Year of Quantum Science and Technology, NPL is hosting one of 11 global events to explore the evolving role of quantum metrology and standards in enabling innovation across quantum technologies. This one-day celebration will bring together senior figures from industry, academia, and government to discuss foundational principles, emerging applications, and the future of quantum standards.

The event will feature keynote talks, panel discussions, and networking opportunities focused on:

  • The role of metrology in quantum computing, sensing, and communications
  • International collaboration and standardisation
  • The UK’s leadership in quantum innovation and infrastructure
